The heat from the flame will be too immense to be held in a hand, so it’s not an enjoyable process to smoke out of a metal pipe. Smoke weed from a wooden pipe, though, and you’ve got a whole another thing coming – it’s very suave, and peaceful. No wonder the Indians called it the peace pipe.

Cleaning your pipe can be difficult. The bud resin may stain your pipe, and it’s a hard grime to clean up. Use a domestic cleaner, or a solvent like naphtha, to get it off. Just make sure to thoroughly was off your pipe of any chemicals, and let it dry, before using again; because you can’t quite rub the inside of a pipe with a paper towel, it’s necessary to let it sit for at least an hour or so to become dry again. Because there’s no filter, smoking tobacco or bud out of a pipe is riskier than cigarettes or a bong. Pipe tobacco is not meant for inhalation as much as weed; you get no high out of holding marijuana smoke in your mouth – it’s just a waste of cannabis.
